What is your role at Liberty Reach and how has it changed since you started?

“I’m currently a Sales Engineer with Liberty Reach managing several of our key accounts. I first started back in 2011 as manual labor on LR’s first ever VFix installations, and then joined as an Applications Engineer in 2012 when I graduated. From there I moved up to Project Management for a year or two, then was with another company for a year before returning for my current Sales position.”

What do you find mot rewarding about your job?

“Liberty Reach uses cutting edge technology, and learning about the latest and greatest is always interesting. Who wants with work with old CCTV cameras when we have fully 3D sensors nowadays? On top of that, since we are still a fairly small company, things are fast-moving and dynamic day-to-day. If you’re looking for a boring job where you sit at a desk from 8:00-5:00 five days a week, then LR isn’t the place for you.”

How had Liberty Reach progressed since you started?

“When I first joined, Liberty Reach was a group of four guys working out of a test cell in an integrator’s robot lab. For a full year we built our hardware out of my basement. Nowadays we’re at almost 40 employees, we have a huge office space with our own lab, and we’re right on the verge of outgrowing that as well. Honestly there isn’t much that hasn’t changed since I started!”

Describe some of your favorite pastimes or hobbies.

“Most days I’ll be outside with my dog Samwise working on my garden. But if the weather won’t allow, then you’ll likely find me at my computer playing some Age of Empires, at my art table drawing, or practicing the guitar. I’ve played for the past fifteen years or so and still find time to practice at least an hour a day. Besides that I’ll read some Sci-Fi or watch some of my favorite shows, like Avatar the Last Airbender.”
